What To Wear On Your Snowmobiling Tour in Steamboat Springs

Here are some tips that will ensure an amazing snowmobile adventure here in Steamboat...

  • Dress as if you are going skiing on a chilly day.
  • Layered clothing is always the best idea, this way you can take layers off if you become too warm.
  • Ski goggles are strongly recommended, however if it is a warm and sunny day, sunglasses may also work.
  • Wear a warm hat.
  • Wear warm gloves or mittens.
  • We suggest bringing along a neckwarmer, neck-gator, scarf or face mask. This will protect your face from all of that fresh powder!
  • If you have them, wearing materials such as fleece, capilene or other synthetics will usually keep you dryer and warmer than cotton.
  • Helmets, boots and snowsuits are provided at our Steamboat Snowmobile Tours cabin - free of charge.

Be sure to bring the camera to capture some memories of your day snowmobiling in Steamboat's backcountry. You may want to bring along sunscreen if that intense Colorado sun is shining! Feel free to bring a water bottle, and any medications needed by you or a family member. A small backpack may be carried during the tour or your guide will be happy to carry small items for you.
